SunniNikah is a community-based matrimonial platform operated by **Noori Foundation**. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain and protect personal data when you use the SunniNikah mobile application, website and related services.

## 2. Scope
This Policy applies to information processed through SunniNikah, including account registration, profiles, search and discovery, interests, shortlists, photo requests, contact requests, chat, notifications, subscriptions, verification, safety reporting and customer support.

Payment credentials may be processed by the applicable payment platform or app store. We do not intend to store full payment-card credentials unless specifically disclosed in a separate payment flow.

3. Create, display and manage your matrimonial profile.
4. Provide search, recommendations and matching-related features.
5. Facilitate interests, shortlists, photo requests, contact requests and chat.
6. Process subscriptions, contact packs, coupons and entitlements.
7. Send service, security and notification messages.
8. Provide customer support.
9. Detect, investigate and prevent fraud, abuse, harassment and prohibited activity.
10. Moderate user-generated content and enforce community standards.
11. Conduct verification where a verification feature is offered.
12. Maintain and improve the platform, reliability and security.
13. Comply with applicable legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.
## 5. Community and Religious Information
SunniNikah is intentionally designed for a defined religious/community audience. Some profile fields may reveal religious or community affiliation, beliefs or practices. We collect and use such information only for clearly communicated platform purposes, such as community eligibility, profile display, search/filtering and matrimonial preferences, subject to applicable law and your choices.
You should not provide information that you do not want to disclose to other users unless it is required for a specific platform function.
## 6. Profile Visibility
SunniNikah provides controls and platform rules governing the visibility of profile details and photos. Information you place in a profile may be visible to other users according to your settings and the service's access rules.
Some information may be intentionally restricted, and some premium/contact/photo workflows may unlock specific information after the required user action.
## 7. Chat and Safety Processing
Messages sent through SunniNikah may be processed by automated safety or policy controls, including detection of prohibited conduct or attempted sharing of certain restricted information. For example, the platform may prevent the sharing of phone numbers through certain chat functionality where the service rules require it.
We may review content or metadata as necessary to investigate reports, enforce policies, protect users, prevent fraud and comply with law.
## 8. Push Notifications
If you grant notification permission, we may process device push-token information to deliver account, chat, safety, match and other service notifications.
You can manage notification permissions at the device level and through available SunniNikah settings.
## 9. Third-Party Service Providers
We may use service providers for hosting, cloud storage, authentication, push notifications, crash reporting, analytics, payment processing, app-store purchases, communications and security. See the Third-Party Services Disclosure for the categories and current vendors used by SunniNikah.
Service providers are expected to process information only for authorized purposes and subject to appropriate contractual or technical safeguards.
## 10. Disclosure of Information
We may disclose information:
- To other users as part of the profile, matching, communication or access features you use.
- To service providers that support the platform.
- To payment platforms/app stores for purchases and subscriptions.
- To regulators, courts, law-enforcement bodies or other authorities when legally required or reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety or the platform.
- During a legal or organizational transaction, subject to applicable law.
We do not sell your personal data as a standalone product.
## 11. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, organizational and technical safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information processed. No internet or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
You are responsible for protecting your password, OTPs and device access. Never share authentication credentials, OTPs or sensitive financial information with another user.
## 12. Data Retention
We retain personal data for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, to provide services, maintain security, resolve disputes, comply with legal obligations, establish or defend legal claims, and enforce our policies.
Retention periods may differ by data type. Certain records may be retained after account deletion where required or permitted by law, including records necessary for fraud prevention, security, financial reconciliation, dispute resolution and legal compliance.
## 13. Account Deletion
You may request deletion of your account through the in-app deletion flow and the public account-deletion mechanism described at [ACCOUNT DELETION URL]. The Account Deletion Policy explains the process and exceptions.
## 14. Your Choices and Rights
Subject to applicable law, you may have rights relating to access, correction, deletion, consent withdrawal, grievance and other controls over your personal data.

## 15. Consent Withdrawal
Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw consent through available settings or by contacting us, subject to legal and operational limitations. Withdrawal does not necessarily affect processing that was already lawfully carried out before withdrawal or processing permitted on another legal basis.
## 16. Children and Age Restriction
SunniNikah is a matrimonial service intended for adults aged 18 and above for girls and 21 and above for boys. We do not knowingly permit minors to create or use matrimonial accounts. Our Child Safety Standards contain additional protections and reporting procedures.
## 17. International Users and Transfers
SunniNikah is India-first and intended to be worldwide-ready. If information is processed or stored outside India, transfers will be handled in accordance with applicable law and appropriate safeguards.
